Well, I’m back at school! My spring break was fantastic, and I know these next few weeks are going to fly by.
A lot happened when I was home last week. First, it was my birthday. I had a yummy cake with an owl on it and everything. Second, I went to the dentist. Third, I’ve realized how much being at college has changed my way of thinking. When sitting in church, I really thought about everything my Pastor was saying. When watching movies, I thought about what I was seeing. Even when talking to my parents, I noticed how well I could connect with them on a deeper level.
Realizing all of this makes me so thankful for my school, because Christian Colleges can give you a biblical thought process. No matter where you’re going to college, you will get some sort of foundation and that foundation will shape your world view. I’m really thankful that I’m at a Christian College that is giving me solid teaching. So, consider the heart of the teaching wherever you go to school, because it will change you.
On a slightly lighter note, I’m going to be in a talent show next weekend. Also, Spring Banquet is happening at the end of the month and open dorms (where the we get to go into the guys dorms and check them out and them with us.) There’s only, like, 5 weeks of school left and I’m really hoping God continues to grow me. So, I have many things to look forward to, but even more than that…I have many things to be thankful for right now. I’m grateful for the year I’ve had here, the friends I’ve made and the foundation I’m getting. :]
“A house must be built on solid foundations if it is to last. The same principle applies to man, otherwise he too will sink back into the soft ground and becomes swallowed up by the world of illusion.”
