Well, I’m back at school! My spring break was fantastic, and I know these next few weeks are going to fly by.

A lot happened when I was home last week. First, it was my birthday. I had a yummy cake with an owl on it and everything. Second, I went to the dentist. Third, I’ve realized how much being at college has changed my way of thinking. When sitting in church, I really thought about everything my Pastor was saying. When watching movies, I thought about what I was seeing. Even when talking to my parents, I noticed how well I could connect with them on a deeper level.

Realizing all of this makes me so thankful for my school, because Christian Colleges can give you a biblical thought process. No matter where you’re going to college, you will get some sort of foundation and that foundation will shape your world view. I’m really thankful that I’m at a Christian College that is giving me solid teaching. So, consider the heart of the teaching wherever you go to school, because it will change you.

On a slightly lighter note, I’m going to be in a talent show next weekend. Also, Spring Banquet is happening at the end of the month and open dorms (where the we get to go into the guys dorms and check them out and them with us.) There’s only, like, 5 weeks of school left and I’m really hoping God continues to grow me. So, I have many things to look forward to, but even more than that…I have many things to be thankful for right now. I’m grateful for the year I’ve had here, the friends I’ve made and the foundation I’m getting. :]

“A house must be built on solid foundations if it is to last. The same principle applies to man, otherwise he too will sink back into the soft ground and becomes swallowed up by the world of illusion.”

I’m a Gatekeeper with a Pot-Holder.

Hello there! :)

So much has been happening and I’m not even sure where to start. Well, I went on a women’s retreat last weekend. It was fantastic. Something really cool about Christian Colleges is even if your classes aren’t about the Bible, normally they have events that are centered around it. If you’re a Christian, GO!! It’s amazing to have fellowship with people in the family of God and you might get pizza! Anyways, yes, I went on a women’s retreat and I got to hear incredible lessons, drink 6 cups of coffee, bond with swell girls from my school, swim and grow closer to God.

Secondly, this week is Lecture Week. Doesn’t sound all that wonderful, right? WRONG! We get more than an extra hour of sleep, we have no homework and we get to listen to a great speaker all week. The book of Nehemiah is the subject matter and if you haven’t read it…you should. :) Something the speaker said has been floating in my head, like a jellyfish. He gave an illustration on how we need to be spiritual Gatekeepers. We have to know what and who to keep out and know when’s the right time. Of course, we can only have that discernment is if we’re walking in the Spirit. I think it’s just such a cool word picture.

Thirdly, I finished my pot-holder today. (I’m learning to be industrious.) Yep.

Fourthly, Fourth, Fourest, tomorrow is Spring Break!! I’m extremely pumped. It’ll be awesome to see how God will work on me at home.

So, to sum this all up.

-If you’re looking into Christians College maybe you should check out what events and retreats they offer. They make for great refreshers. If they offer coffee only drink 5 cups, because my heart was racing like a deer about to be attacked by a lion.

-Read the book of Nehemiah and be a gatekeeper.

-Make a pot-holder. :]

-And enjoy your spring break!!
